Logan Canyon visitors have been going to Ricks Spring for generations. The spring was discovered by Thomas E. Ricks, who served as a sheriff and county assessor. Ricks Spring is both a spring and a diversion of the Logan River. Many people used to stop by this spring and fill up their canteens or jugs but it turns out you don't want to do this because the water isn't safe. The water that comes from this spring contains the microorganism, Giardia, which can cause intestinal problems. So when you visit Ricks Springs don't take a drink even if you are tempted.

The American West Heritage Center has something for everyone and every group. Settings representing 1820-1920 are enjoyed by all - - children, couples and individuals. Title: Rockhill Creamery
Description: Rockhill Creamery is located in Richmond, a small town in Northern Utah's beautiful Cache Valley about 90 miles North of Salt Lake City. Ours is a working farmstead, so we must ask that you visit our farmstand during it's normal hours. We are open Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm during the "warmer months"(late May through October). If planning a visit in early or late in the season, please call or email us first to make sure we will be open. Although the stand is in our granary, it is "open air" so dress accordingly. We will have samples of each of the cheeses we are offering that day. This year we are hosting Richmond's Harvest Market at our farm. So as the growing season progresses, you should be able to find lots of local produce, crafts and other items as well. ...our farmstand Our farmstand is located at 563 S. State St. in Richmond. Coming from the south, take US Hwy 91 north from Logan. Approximatly 12 miles north of Logan, when just entering Richmond, take 600 South (at North Cache Middle School) east to State Street. (first stop sign). Turn north on State Street and look for the first drive on the east side. Please park along the east side of street—north of the driveway—and walk up the drive. And we ask that if you are able-bodied and willing to walk a bit farther, that you park farther to the north so that the closer spots can be used by those less able. Please keep in mind that this is only a farmstand and offers no restroom facilities.
