The Herald Journal Had a front page story today 11/30/08 called “Hate issues on campus.” I can’t believe they found it worthy to be even a story let alone a front page story.
I’m so sick of people such as Rebecca Coulombe who are so politically correct! What was The Herald Journal thinking when they decided to run this so called story? Ms. Coulombe who teaches (indoctrinates) at Edith Bowen states that a “yellow truck displaying a Confederate flag was driving” and that she “did interpret it as a racist statement about Obama?” I’m speechless! And we have these types of left wing radicals teaching our kids in the so called wonderful public schools!? Ms. Coulombe goes on to say that she contacted the USU police department. As if they are going to arrest the driver (in her mind) because he offended her along with some other radical teachers simply by exercising his first amendment rights. Who knows, under Obama people may get arrested for not using politically correct free speech Heaven forbid! I think the name “Edith Bowen Laboratory School” is a good name. It’s short for “Edith Bowen Government Laboratory School for Lab Rat Kids and Social (Socialist) Engineering.”
First of all, a Confederate flag does not exclusively represent slavery or racism! While I wouldn’t display a confederate flag and have no roots in the south nor do I agree with their fighting to continue slavery in the 19th century, I do believe the confederate states have their own rich traditions and culture unique to them. They are as free to put that on display in the form of a flag as the anti war people are to hold up anti war/USA signs in front of the tabernacle! As long as people such as Ms. Coulombe agree with and support a particular culture, ideology or tradition, in her mind, “we should be loving and tolerant towards them.” A tradition of mine is collecting guns, I would like to see Ms. Coulombe stand up and be tolerant of that without any strings attached. That will happen the day Hell freezes over! Ms. Coulombe and her friends are what we call selectively tolerant. It’s funny how people such as Ms. Coulombe go and preach selective tolerance yet they themselves are some of the most hate filled, intolerant and spiteful people in general towards anyone who disagree with Obama, Gay Marriage, Socialism, Marxism, Gun Control, Abortion, the sexualizing of underage kids, the United Nations, Other nations who dislike us, higher Taxes, more government control in our lives, the abolition of private property, the abolition of capitalism, the abolition of religion for a purely secular/humanist style, wacko global warming theories and all the other progressive/communist ideas that people like her espouse.
As for Obama, Bush underwent 8 years of some of the most hate filled toxic spewed speech from Ms. Coulombe’s crowd such as Democrats, Hollywood, Educators and other left wing people in history. When someone disagrees with Obama on his radical policies, all of the sudden, they are labeled a racist. I love how Ms. Coulombe is playing the race card! This is the classic style of reverse racists. How in the he** do you go from a confederate flag on a truck to “it must have something to do with Obama who happens to be Black???!”
