There should be a state government section in the forums as well, since this also involves the state legislature.

All day kindergarten? The state house just pBEEPed a bill that would give more funding to our local schools for longer days. It will now go to the senate.

This is yet another effort by the schools to keep kids longer and brainwash them while making more money. Our Taxes will probably go up yet again at some point as well. Why would we want our kids to be at school even longer than they all ready are? Kids, K-12 are in school way too long during the day as it is. The schools are becoming more like a place where kids are brought up instead of just being taught the academic skills needed to succeed in life and business. What’s next? Maybe they will start offering or even requiring that K-12 have to live at the school Monday – Friday and can only come home on the weekends. This is crazy! No wonder our kids are becoming so screwed up. We need to say no to the current school system and in place of that, take more of an active part in the lives of our kids.

I believe all day kindergarten to be the same as child abuse!

I agree with you!

I guess what it comes down to is, do you want your kids to be taught at an early age to not believe in God by their school or do we want them to be taught by their parents.

I really feel for kids that attend Head Start. We are really hurting our kids and our pocket books! (Higher Taxes)
