I am always bothered by unfairness of double standards. What of the great concepts of America is that everyone should be treated equally and that we all enjoy free speech (with certain restrictions). Unfortuately things no longer work like that. The left especially has worked very hard to restrict free speeh with political correctness and other methods. Here is another example where very powerful people are doing their best to keep the American people ignorant of a very important, no make that a crucial issue.

Editor's note: The following column contains some offensive imagery that should not be viewed by children. It is shown here not to titillate, but to make a point about the culture of depravity and hypocrisy that surrounds the three largest billboard companies in America.
Ever since the three major outdoor advertising companies in America turned down our billboard campaign designed to raise the visibility of Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility issue, people have been suggesting a boycott of these giant media corporations.
I have a better idea.
Why not make them pay in another way.
If CBS, Clear Channel and Lamar are so determined to see our billboard campaign fail, why not ensure that it succeeds?
Believe me, Barack Obama would like nothing better than if you wasted your time and energy boycotting CBS, Clear Channel and Lamar. It would let him off the hook.
And a boycott of the big three media conglomerates would only serve as a diversion from getting the answer to the question we raise in our campaign – "Where's the birth certificate?"
Here's what I need you to understand about this campaign. It is working. It has significantly raised the visibility of the eligibility issues already – with only an $85,000 budget, peanuts when it comes time to national advertising campaigns.
(Column continues below)
Even more important is this: The ban of our ads by the three major companies doesn't prevent us from expanding the campaign. There are millions of billboards still available to us. The only thing slowing us down is the fact that contributions have dried up because too many people apparently believe there are no billboards available.
Support the billboard campaign and you can help expose CBS, Clear Channel and Lamar as the paper tigers they truly are. Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be for these three titans of the industry if we showed them that a successful national billboard campaign could be run without any of them?
That's my challenge to you.

"Where's The Birth Certificate?" billboard in Pennsylvania |
And while you're thinking about it, I'd like you to review some facts about this action by the billboard cartel.
What is our campaign all about?
It's about truth, justice and the American way. There is nothing misleading about it. There is nothing hyperbolic about it. There is nothing sensational about it. And there is nothing exploitative about it.
The entire campaign consists of four words – "Where's the birth certificate?" Notice it doesn't include Obama's name. Notice it makes no accusations. Notice it does not include any imagery of any kind.
The campaign is run by a news organization about an important political and civic issue – the constitutional eligibility of the president. Yet it makes no claims. It only raises a single question.
It's a serious campaign about a serious issue that affects every American.
This is the campaign that was turned down without explanation by the three major companies, with the encouragement of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, a trade and lobbying organization apparently trying to curry favor with the powers that be in Washington.
Now it's time for the kids to go away. You've been warned twice that the remainder of this column contains offensive graphic images. But these images were all displayed publicly, without any warnings to the public, by either CBS, Clear Channel or Lamar – the same companies that turned down the innocent, respectful, tasteful ad above.
This is double standard you could drive a doublewide mobile home through.
I would like you to take a look at this collection of billboards actually displayed by CBS, Clear Channel and Lamar.
Do they get you mad? Does it defy common sense that companies would accept these campaigns and turn down one involving First Amendment-protected political speech? Would you like to see these companies live to regret their very bad and immoral decision?
There is only one way to do that.
It's not a boycott.
It's not a lawsuit.
It's not complaining.
It's not writing letters.
The way to make them pay is to make our campaign succeed beyond anyone's wildest expectations.
It's time to get back to work.
It's time to make sacrificial contributions to the billboard campaign.
I pledge to you not a single dollar will ever go to any of these companies – even if they beg my forgiveness and confess publicly the error of their ways.
We don't need them.
And they're going to find out – if you will help me like you helped me before.
Are you with me?
I need you to stop right now and make a contribution to the billboard campaign. I don't care if it's only $5. Everyone has $5 they can spend to support a campaign that has refocused national attention on an issue as critically important as whether the president of the United States is constitutionally eligible to hold office.
Maybe you have more. That's great. I just need everyone doing their part.
We had 400,000 people sign our petition on the eligibility issue. If each of them contributed just $1 each, this campaign would soar.
Again, I want to be clear about this: We don't need CBS, Clear Channel and Lamar. We don't want CBS, Clear Channel and Lamar. There are more than enough independent, clear-thinking, moral billboard companies in America to make this campaign succeed – with your help and God's.
