Well, the Herald Journal totally misrepresents and misquotes someone again! This person wrote a letter as to how they honestly feel about illegal immigration and the negative effects it will have on us in Logan. Especially if we don't do something about it. What does the Herald Journal do? They display their liberal drive by media mentality by demonizing this letter writer, making it look as if she said something she clearly did not say. They titled her letter, "Illegals have no place in valley." They made it sound as if she is a racist hater. She did not use these words, the Herald Journal did!!!

This letter addresses a serious problem we have. We would do well to follow her advice and learn from the problems she saw first hand while in California.

"Illegals have no place in valley

To the editor:

I have recently moved here from California and I’m seeing the same illegal alien problem here, much to my dismay.

I was born and raised here for part of my life and have always wanted to come back. It is quite shocking to see all the illegals here. Somehow I never believed Logan would tolerate it. I watched as they literally took over cities in California, selling their drugs on street corners in broad daylight, graffiti everywhere, bankrupting a grand total of 10 hospitals with all their free health care. I see the possibility of the same situation here. They wouldn’t be here without the jobs, so who is providing these jobs? I’ve heard from several sources it is Miller’s meat packing plant. I find it despicable if this is true. Why isn’t this person being fined along with anyone else hiring these people? Then their kids go to our schools and receive special attention, taking away from the citizens of this country. I would think you parents would be taking action. I heard from a very wise man, “As long as we sit back and do nothing, we will get what we deserve.” We must, as citizens of this beautiful Cache Valley, take action in whatever form necessary to stop this before it’s too late. Please!

Maybe the Herald Journal could add a few words to that heading "Illegals have no place in valley" UNTIL THEY COME HERE LEGALLY!

For those who feel strongly about this issue Utah has a number to call.

(801) 265-0136 Salt Lake City office

But do your home work their are some good people who are legal, don't assume by race.

Now just to repeat what has been said in the past.

Illegal immigrants are only taking the jobs nobody else wants.

Unemployment seems to be running high in America.

This means:

Someone in the country illegally would be taking the opportunity to work away from some one who is legal.

Or

They would be breaking the law to earn money to survive.

It's this simple.

I would like to see a politician touch this issue now.

This is the link were I found the number.
