A CALL TO ACTION!

Thad Box Looses It!

Today’s column by Thad Box (9/27/06) in the Herald Journal takes the cake. It is hard for me to fault brother Thadius because he clearly is a man of compassion. That said, I have rarely read such a ridiculous piece of literature in all of my life. It has been written that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. It we ran our society as he would wish you can forget about any sense of freedom, free agency or personal responsibility. On average, I dare say that Americans pay over fifty percent of their income to taxes. But, that isn’t enough for Thad. No, it seems he wouldn’t be satisfied until the government had complete control over all of your money and lives. Whose money is it anyway?

Government is the least efficient organization that I know of. It is extremely wasteful and inefficient. Unfortunately, this little fact seems to escape his awareness. What happened to that five year old girl was tragic. But who is to blame. First I would say the man who starved her, secondly, the mother for exercising such poor judge of character (her fiancée). Without living in a police state, nothing that I am aware of could have prevented this tragedy. Unfortunate bad things happen in this world. Giving government more power should be the last solution considered. I find it extremely frustrating that the HJ now has two leftist columnists who constantly slander the President and the so called conservative columnist write about trivial matters. I have nothing personally against them but the content of their writings leaves much to be desired. This is proof enough of a liberal bias within the editorial board of the HJ.

I worry very much about the future of the great nation. With an educational system which not only fails to teach its students about fundamental concepts like basic economics, and constitutional principles of government to critical thinking skills, while at the same time inculcating their students with leftist principles and concepts. The fact that most Americans get their news and views from a very biased and leftist press and devote numerous hours, for purposes of entertainment, to Hollywood nutcases like Sean Penn and Danny Glover is truly an indicment of us all. I am convinced that most Americans to not realize the threat that this nation is facing. It is not from external factors, but from immoral and corrupt influences within. So many of our problems can be directly traced to the 1960’s and the adoptions of leftist programs like welfare and a Supreme Court which has undermined society’s moral framework.

When the history of the fall of the American empire is written the single greatest cause, I think, of our decline will be two factors. One, a morally bankrupt court system which invents laws out of thin air to a spoiled and pampered people who took what they had for granted and didn’t do what was necessary to set things right.

Peace

After I wrote this I came across this study about the failure of our educational system to teach some basics about our country and its system of government. It can be found here:

Thad? This guy would do well in Socialist France! His columns make me ill. Is it any wonder why the Herald Journal loves him? Good post John!

Thad Botox is always loosing it. What's new with regards to far left liberals?

He has the normal liberal way of thinking of "lets take from the rich and give to the poor." Not that liberals are about really helping the poor. They all live in big houses and get two to five hundred thousand per year from the government payroll. They just like to make the poor think they are helping them so they can keep a voter base. They actually hold the poor back so they can never get out of their ways.
